GOGO Music presents the second single taken from Ralf GUM's forthcoming long-player 'Never Leaves You' featuring Oluhle singing an inspirational gospel tune in Zulu which is entitled 'Linda'. The Original of the song already caused ample hype in South Africa since Ralf started to play it on his gigs there. It is now available rounded of with a lush rework by aspiring producer talent Da Capo.
Ralf GUM's mission since the early 90's Ralf's sounds simple - bring Soul, Harmony & Groove to the hungry masses - from Europe to South America, Asia to Africa. He's produced music with a bevy of international top artists such as Beady Belle, Inaya Day, Wunmi to name a few and worked for labels such as Tommy Boy, Defected and his own GOGO Music imprint, which is home as well to other celebrated artists as e.g. Raw Artistic Soul. Ralf's first full length debut release, 'Uniting Music' garnered globally critical acclaim and spawned tunes that are nowadays considered classic, such as 'All this love for you' or Traxsource's '#1 House Single' & 'Biggest House Track of 2008', the unforgettable 'Kissing Strangers'. Ralf GUM recently emigrated from Germany to the world's current hot-bed for Soulful House Music, South Africa and it would be a vast understatement to say that he looks back on a good year. Over the past months his popularity and the buzz surrounding him in his new home of choice reached almost explosive proportions, culminating in him being voted #6 in this years SA DJ Mag Top 100 poll.
Oluhle was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and relocated to the UK over ten years ago to join her family and other hundreds of thousands exiled Zimbabweans to pursue her studies and her musical career. As a singer-songwriter, record producer and actress Oluhle already received various musical awards including the Zimbabwean Achievers award for 'Best Female Artist' in 2011. She can look back on recordings with a number of well known artists and songs of her topped charts in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa. When not in studio Oluhle is busy on stage performing for her legions of fans. She has shared stage with Zimbabwe's legend Oliver Mtukudzi on his UK tours and Tuku has spoken highly of her. She also shared stage with Malaika, Mafikizolo, Awilo Longoma, Ringo Madlingosi, the late Simon Chimbetu, Splash just to mention a few. Lately she just was invited by UK's BBC this May to perform on the acclaimed BBC Leicester Afro-Caribbean Show Anniversary.
'Linda' received a remix treatment by South African talent Da Capo. Da Capo started producing various genres at early age and was hooked to House Music by fellow DJ Swizz in 2007. Nowadays, at the age of 22, he is already celebrated as one of the most gifted producers to emerge from the fertile grounds of the motherland and can exhibit an impressive discography on various renown labels. Ralf is a supporter of his sound since quite some time and we finally had the right song for him, that show that he knows a thing or two about groove.
Linda is an electrifying gospel house song - an emotional pleading to God through rhythm, melody and harmony to ask for sympathy and have mercy for the human conditions, the suffering, the vulnerable and daily problems which most people face. The song encourages people to be resilient and be patient because prayers will be answered and there is power in prayer. Produced in superior manner by Ralf GUM and yet another powerful vocal from Oluhle results in a deep and sexy tune, which is a truly precious follow up to 'Fly Free' on GOGO Music and which raises the suspense for Ralf GUM's forthcoming album 'Never Leaves You'.
GOGO Music … music it is and is it!
